“Pink Ribbon Sky at Stockley Tavern, Georgetown, Delaware, for their Bags, Booze and Boobs Auction, Breast Cancer Fundraiser November 4th, in honor of my Mom Betty Louise Showell who was a breast cancer survivor, and her sister Lena who was not. My grandmother, also lost a breast, falling on a rusty barb wire fence having climbed it to pick fall pears. We are tough! Thank you Penicillin. I am celebrating a long line of Amazons. Nearly finished with this, just need to do the lettering on the truck door, which is fairly obscured and painted over. My second haystack. Fall and Spring versions now complete. Not sure if the rust will hold it together for a third! Hotel time….Tomorrow I’ll paint back into it on site, add dark values of the green paint still visible on the rust body of the truck. The truck would get lit up every time a school bus or a chicken truck came behind me in the southbound lane…a little surreal going from lit to darkness. A string of neon red rear lights, white headlights The pink ribbon of cloud evolved with its own mind and will, not what I had planned, but sometimes things happen, better than you could plan.…..gifts….
